Forum Rules

Inspired Opulence doesn't have many rules. Most of the rules that we have are forum specific. For example, if you want to play in the Utopia on Hold realm, you'll need to conform to the rules of that forum. The same is true for the directory, the Graphics forums, et cetera.

However, the board does have one major rule and a few corollaries.

Here is the one main rule:

Don't be an ass.

The main rule of the forum is very simple, and we'll leave it to your imagination. Most all of you should be mature enough to understand what it means. And if you aren't, this may not be the forum for you. This obviously means that you treat everyone here with respect – both for their opinions and ideas.

We expect everyone to conform to this rule without exception. Failure to oblige will result in infractions, suspension, or ban.

There are a few corollaries to this rule, most if it is common sense. In fact, all of them fall under the "don't be an ass" rule. These are just specific examples of violations.
Do not have socks. A sock is defined as a another registered account that you registered in your name. The lone exception for this is when your other accounts are linked to your main account and used for the purpose of playing a character in one of Inspired Opulence's sponsored realms. This is the only exception. Basically, outside of this purpose (roleplaying), you may not have several accounts on one IP. If you have multiple members in the same household, you can discuss it with us prior to creating the second account.

Good natured-ribbing and debate is good. We encourage it. However, please note that we are going to enforce the "don't be an ass" rule very stringently. If you are intentionally unpleasant, you may be removed from the forums.

All posted content on this thread is to be in English. This site is hosted in the USA and the staff primarily speaks English. This rule includes signatures, avatars, custom titles, and profile content. Please keep it in a uniform language that we can all understand.

Your account is yours. No one else should be logging in without a very good reason. You are responsible for all actions performed on your account. If you leave your account unattended and your "brother" spams with it, then unfortunately, we're going to have to remove it.

Please refrain from blatant plugs. Outside of the submissions and forums directory, you may not blatantly plug your site. A plug is defined as a post, signature spam, or anything of the like where you are blatantly trying to bring exposure to your site, another thread that you made, or something of the like that is not contributing to the forum.

Please use common sense when linking sites or showing images. Unmarked links or images of a flagrant pornographic, violent, or disturbing nature are prohibited.

You should read and follow the stickied forum rules of each posts. Please also remember that a staff ruling on a matter is just as good as the rules stickied. Please do not persist in doing any feat after a staff member reprimands you.
