Community Liaisons
First and foremost, community liaisons are representatives from other RPGs who have chosen to come here to Inspired Opulence and share their insight, offer their expertise, and help others get acquainted to their RPG. They deserve to be treated with your respect. They also receive a custom usergroup, larger avatar and inbox space.
Keep in mind that being a community liaison does
not give you a right to advertise your RPG. Your advertising rights extend only to your submission in the forum directory and your URL in the website field of your profile. You can help people explain about your RPG, you may link your RPG if requested, and you may talk about policies, announcements, and decisions regarding your RPG. At no time may you
advertently advertise your RPG. Any liaison caught doing this will have their liaison privilege removed.
In order to apply for liaison status, you must meet the following criteria:
- Your website must be in the directory. If your website isn't in our forum directory, what exactly are you the liaison for?
- Your RPG must be at least three months old. While we like to see the creation of new RPGs, and we appreciate new faces, liaison status is an esteemed and privileged group. We want to have some assurance that you are not representing a fly-by-night RPG.
- You must be a prior member on this website with a minimum of 25 posts. This should be obvious, because you need to have a minimum post count in order to submit your RPG. However, this rule is in place to prevent new members from coming aboard solely so they can have liaison status. Liaisons are expected to be established and respected members of the community prior to becoming a liaison.
- You must have administrative or global moderator privileges in order to be a liaison. It's great if you are an active member and would like to represent your site, but liaisons are delegated ambassadors who not only have the ability to inform us about the goings-on of their website, but also are capable of putting what they learn and gain from here into use.
- You may only be the liaison of one site. This is common sense. In my past experience, I've gone to realize that regardless of how much you try, it's impossible to devote an equal amount of time amongst several sites. If you are the administrator of several sites, you may only be a liaison of one.
If you meet following requirements, please feel free to apply for liaison status in this thread. Make sure you include your
username (both here and a link to your user profile on your site) and the
name of the site that you are representing.
