So, in an effort to explain the more day-to-day dealings of the character (which in turn may reveal more about them), I've created a little bit of a questionnaire. Some of these were inspired by other sources, such as the Book of Questions, but this was largely created by me. I wouldn't mind other people using it elsewhere, as long as its credited and linked back here. - How many hours of sleep does your character get in their normal schedule?
- What does their room/living space look like?
- How long does it take for your character to get ready for public appearances?
- If your character receives an assignment, how long does it take him or her to start?
- If the assignment lasts an hour long, how long does it take for him to finish?
- Assuming that he or she has a task tomorrow, the character has a choice between going to bed early, or staying up late to party, what does he/she do?
- Your character is offered $2,000,000 dollars to leave the country and never return, what would he/she do?
- Your character has the power to cleanly kill someone by wishing it, would there be an instance where he/she would do it?
- Describe the "perfect" evening for your character?
- If your character could gain just one ability, what would it be?
- If your character has the opportunity to meet their perfect lover, but on the condition that that lover will die in six months time, would he/she chose to meet him/her despite the impending heartbreak?
- What is his/her most treasured memory?
- Your character is offered $2,000,000 to play Russian Roulette (1 in 6 chance of death); if they survive, they get the money. Would they take the risk?
- What is your character's greatest ambition?
- If your character was offered endless wealth at the expense of never falling in love, would he/she take it?
- Your character's closest friend asks you to trust him/her with your character's life, but they can not know why. Would your character do it?
- Your friend has a day to do whatever he wished, knowing that when the day is over, anything he or she did would be undone and there would be no consequences. What would he do?
- What places does your character most like to be? Least like to be?
- What is your character's most treasured possession?
- What would your character see in the Mirror of Erised?
- Would your character be willing to murder one person if it would bring world peace?
- How would your character react if he/she were to learn that his/her mate had had a lover of the same sex before they knew each other?
- If your character could choose any manner of death, what would it be?
- Would your character mind if his/her spouse was smarter or more attractive than him/her?
- Your character and his/her lover/spouse are in adjacent rooms. They can communicate verbally but can not see each other. Both rooms are equipped with a red button. If neither of them press their red button within 60 minutes, they both would be killed. The person who pushes the red button saves the other, but is immediately killed. What would your character do?
- Does your character often embellish and exaggerate their anecdotes?
- Your character is walking through a parking lot on a hot day. He/she sees a dog locked in a car. What does (s)he do?
- Knowing that he/she has a 50% chance of winning a bet that would pay off ten times the bet, what percentage of their current wealth would they wager?
- If your character had the option of slowing their aging by a factor of fifty, increasing their life expectancy to about 5000 years, would he/she do it?
- If your character were involved in a relationship that (s)he knows is unsatisfying (and never could be happy), would he/she chose to leave if (s)he knew that the breakup would cause his/her partner to commit suicide?
- Of all the people in the world, whose death would your character find the most disturbing?
- If your character had the option of being either the biggest fish in a small pond, or the smallest fish in the biggest body of water, what would he/she choose?
- If you were guaranteed complete honesty to three questions, who would you ask and which questions?
