Joining the Plot Team

What is the Utopia on Hold Plot Team?

We're glad you asked. The UH plot team is a group of dedicated roleplayers who have chosen to donate their time and effort into crafting the plot. In essence, it's a group that can dictate and control the direction of UH's unique and rather complex plot. Instead of many locations, where the plot is dictated by the staff, or a mystery to even the most privy of members, Utopia on Hold gives its members the opportunity to participate actively in not only understanding the plot, but also influencing how it unravels. The plot team even gets to help dictate future events in the plot itself.

Naturally, this level of responsibility and power is not bestowed lightly. Plot team members are expected to be active and present members of the community. It's their job to do everything in their power to remain active and dedicated members of the forum in order to keep their position.

Regarding the Responsibilities of Plotters:
Plotters are asked to be active contributers to this forum. They must be comparably productive compared to the average member, as they are asked to take on a more progressive and proactive role. That means members must be willing and able to step up to the plate whenever demanded.

It is required that anybody who chooses to be a plotter have no reservation about posting in this forum. If you are hesitant, or if you're shy, ashamed, or otherwise impaired from posting freely in this forum, this place is not for you. I understand that some people have more opinions than others, and some are more outgoing than others, but when push comes to shove, if I ask all the plotters to check-in, they should ALL check-in in a timely manner.

Plotters are also asked to keep a cool and level head. They must be able to analyze things rationally, and they must be willing to prepare for discussions. Ignorant plotters will not be excused. If you are in the dark regarding certain subjects, such as say... the governmental structure of certain European nations, you can always look it up. Wikipedia is a great source, but it is also just one of many. If you are a plotter, you are asked to participate regularly and preparedly.

For the most part, plotters are on a decently short leash. They are asked to be proactive and remain proactive for their entire stay. Should they need time off, they are required to check in quickly, without delay. Should a plotter be removed because of their indecisiveness or inactivity, they are terminated, and are unlikely to become a plotter in the future. There are some exceptions to this rule, but for the most part, it is a job that does not take kindly to skipping out.

Remember that being a plotter is a privilege and not a right. This forum is for members who want to be productive and proactive.
