Yeah, I've really been quite disappointed. Everyone made it sound like it was the best literary work to ever be written. Maybe my standards are just higher.
See, that's the problem with these long, drawn out series. If the author is unremarkable, their plots become completely unbelievable and utterly absurd. If you want to write multiple books along the same storyline, I think you should end it as a trilogy.
